Refund & Payment Reversal Policy
Last Updated: 08 October 2026
Sunita Finlease Limited (“SFL”) provides lending services. This policy explains how we handle duplicate payments, excess payments, failed transactions and eligible refunds relating to our loans.
Duplicate or excess payments
If a payment is received more than once, or exceeds the amount payable, SFL will verify the transaction and reconcile the loan account. Any confirmed excess amount will be refunded or, with the borrower’s consent, adjusted against future dues. We will communicate the reconciliation outcome to the borrower.
Failed or pending transactions
A debit shown in a bank account does not always mean that SFL has received the payment. Failed or pending transactions will be checked with the relevant bank or payment service provider.
Where funds have not reached SFL, reversal is handled through the relevant payment system under applicable rules. Borrowers should contact us before repeating a payment if the earlier transaction remains uncertain.
Loan cancellation and cooling-off
Cancellation before disbursement will be handled according to the disclosed loan terms and applicable requirements.
For digital loans, borrowers may exit during the cooling-off period stated in their Key Facts Statement and loan documents by repaying the principal and proportionate Annual Percentage Rate amount, without penalty. A reasonable one-time processing fee may be retained only where permitted and disclosed upfront in the Key Facts Statement.
After the cooling-off period, prepayment or foreclosure will be governed by the loan terms and applicable RBI requirements.
Fees and charges
Refund eligibility for fees and charges depends on the Key Facts Statement, loan agreement and applicable requirements. Amounts collected incorrectly will be reviewed and corrected. This policy does not create a blanket exclusion of refunds.
How to request a refund
Please provide your name, loan reference number, registered contact details, payment date, amount and transaction reference, along with payment proof.
Email: support@sunitaonline.com
Telephone: +91 84478 37455
Do not share passwords, PINs or OTPs.
Refund processing
Once eligibility and payment receipt are verified, SFL will communicate the refundable amount and expected processing time. Refunds will ordinarily be returned through the original payment method or to a verified account belonging to the borrower, subject to applicable payment-system requirements.
Any delay requiring further verification will be communicated. Applicable mandatory reversal, refund or compensation timelines will take precedence.
Repayment mandates
Cancelling an eNACH or UPI Autopay mandate does not cancel the loan or outstanding repayment obligations. Borrowers should contact SFL to arrange an alternative repayment method and obtain confirmation of mandate cancellation.
Complaints and escalation
If a payment or refund issue remains unresolved, please contact nbfc@sunitaonline.com or follow the Grievance Redressal Policy published on our website.
This policy will be reviewed periodically. Applicable legal and regulatory requirements prevail over any inconsistent provision.
