Introduction: In India, Aadhar Card is issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India[UIDAI] on behalf of the government. The Aadhar Card has an Aadhar No. of 12 digits which is an individual identification number that serves as evidence of identity and address, anywhere in India. 10. Issue date - the e-aadhar has the date of aadhar generation and also the date of aadhar when it was downloaded. The issue date is the date of aadhar in the new e-aadhar.

The 5 steps to download your e-aadhar card from Aadhar Number:

Step 1: Open the official UIDAI website, https://uidai.gov.in/ - Click on the section Aadhar Online Services
Step 2: Then click on the option entitled "Download Aadhar " in the menu.
Step 3: Fill in certain details: these details include: Aadhar Number Name Pin Code Security Code
Step 4: A section of OTP will appear- click on ‘Request OTP’ and then you will receive an OTP, enter this OTP in the section provided.
Step 5: Download e-aadhar- Now, e-aadhar can be downloaded by using a password i.e the first four letters of your name and your birth year in capitals.
The 5 steps to download your e-aadhar card from a DigiLocker Account:
Step 1: Open the official website page of DigiLocker at https://digilocker.gov.in/ - click on the 'Sign-In' button.
Step 2: Log in to your DigiLocker account- through your 12-digit Aadhar number. Step 3: Click on Verify - to receive an OTP in your registered mobile number.
Step 4: Verify OTP- enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number and click 'Verify OTP'.
Step 5: Download the e-aadhar card- from the 'Issued Document' page e-aadhar card can be downloaded using the 'Save' icon.
The 5 steps to download your e-aadhar card from Umang Mobile Application: UMANG is an action taken by the government to introduce digital governance. Umang App is developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) & the National e-Governance Division (NeGD).
Step 1: Download and open the Umang App - to log in or register.
Step 2: Click “Aadhaar Card” under the ""all services"" tab.
Step 3: Click “View Aadhaar Card From DigiLocker” - the DigiLocker home page will appear.
Step 4: Log in with your DigiLocker Account or Aadhaar number-Enter the Aadhar number and the one-time password sent to your phone when call-forth.
Step 5: Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number- e-aadhar can be now seen on the UMANG App, direct to DigiLocker.
